Every life, including our own, is precious to God

Christians have always believed that there is hope in death as in life, and that there is new life in Christ beyond death. Even those who share this faith find that there is a real sense of loss at the death of a loved one.

A Christian Funeral – whether in church or crematorium – provides an opportunity to address that loss; to remember before God the person who has died; to give thanks for them; to commend them to God’s mercy and protection and to comfort each other.

Anyone can request a Church funeral – whether or not they were regular churchgoers.

Funerals can be simple or elaborate, attended by a few family and friends or a congregations of hundreds. It is normally easiest to speak to the chosen Funeral Director who will explain various options and liaise with the person taking the service.
