Confirmation

Confirmation is a celebration of a maturing faith – recalling the promises made at the start of our spiritual journey, in Baptism, and celebrating our own, unique, contribution to Christ’s Church.

Confirmation is always celebrated by one of our bishops – often in the Cathedral, but sometimes elsewhere.

What does preparation involve?
A series of six group sessions where we discuss and learn about the Church and our Christian faith.
No formal “qualifications” required.

What happens at the Confirmation service?
The Bishop confirms you in the Holy Spirit, by laying hands on your head. You confirm that, in your daily life, you want to go forwards in faith.
